May 13 Deadline: Career Pathways Leadership Preparation Program
The Council is accepting applications for its new Career Pathways leadership preparation program. This 12-month program focuses on excellence and inclusion in talent acquisition, management, and retention strategies. It is open to a diverse pool of individuals currently employed in philanthropy interested in reaching their leadership potential in the field. To participate, the applicant’s entry must be endorsed by his or her supervisor or CEO. The program begins July 2010 and ends in June 2011. The application deadline is May 13.

The Career Pathways program is designed to increase the number of candidates from diverse backgrounds in the pipeline for senior-level positions in philanthropy and to grow their capacity to serve their home institutions and the philanthropic sector. Program participants will benefit from the development of networks and leadership capacity. Diversity and inclusion in high-level decision-making roles will strengthen the field. To apply for the program or nominate someone you supervise, visit the Council’s Web site at http://www.cof.org/programsandservices/diversity/index.cfm.
